Fighter Leila Khaled: We're here because Venezuela is a decent land

The renowned fighter for the Palestinian cause, Leila Khaled, took the floor at the International Conference on Solidarity with Palestine that takes place this Friday in the city of Caracas, from where she assured that “we are here because Venezuela is a decent land”.

In his words, he highlighted the work of the martyrs for the fall of humanity, emphasizing that for the world these fighters “do not die because they stay alive in our hearts”.

Khaled reported that in Gaza “our children are suffering from hunger (...) We would have wanted humanity to stop for a moment in this 21st century in the face of the most ferocious crime in the world that is developing,” he said.

“We have learned from other countries that have fought and deserved their freedom, such as Venezuela. There is a heroic people here and that is why I tell (Nicolás) Maduro my colleague, my president, we are as proud of you as we are of being Palestinians (...) Palestine celebrated the victory of Maduro,” he said.

He added that “we are still in a process of liberation and these are only battles of a long war. Where the United States is and Zionism is there terrorism. They will not be able to expel us from our homeland, we are giants above the earth or buried and we are determined to be giants.”
