The Federation of Chambers and Companies of Venezuela (FEDEINDUSTRIA) rejected this Thursday the new restrictions imposed by the United States against the oil industry, which affect the country's economy and the people.
In a statement, FEDEINDUSTRIA expressed its dissatisfaction “due to the consequences that these decisions generate on our economy, directly affecting our companies, workers, families, supply and business stability.”
In this regard, they called for dialogue between Caracas and Washington to “achieve the recovery of the nation's social welfare, the stability of our companies, industries and businesses, and the economic prosperity of the country.”

The Federation of Chambers and Companies of Venezuela (FEDEINDUSTRIA) for more than 50 years has promoted empathetic dialogue, articulated and respectful work with all national and international actors, promoting the constant development of domestic production and contributing to the nation's sustained growth; however, in the face of recent announcements made by spokespersons of the United States Government implementing new restrictive conditions to Venezuela, we express our dissatisfaction due to the consequences that these decisions generate on our economy, directly affecting our companies, workers, families, supply and business stability.
It should be noted that today the institutional relations between the National, Regional and Municipal Executive and all economic sectors are articulated and working together to solve the challenges that these sanctions have generated.
We call attention to the Office of the United States Department of the Treasury (OFAC) to objectively assess the different situations and internal realities of our country, in order to consider lifting sanctions against Venezuela.
At FEDEINDUSTRIA we are convinced that, with sustained work and dialogue between the parties, we can achieve the recovery of the nation's social welfare, the stability of our companies, industries and businesses, and the country's economic prosperity.
