On February 4, 1992, the military youth of Venezuela, led by Commander Hugo Chávez, rose up against imperialism and the lackeys of the Fourth Republic, to restore hope to the people, who were mired in poverty, as a result of the neoliberal policies applied by the administration of the then president Carlos Andrés Pérez and the adecos and Copeyan governments for 40 years.

“It was up to us, the military youth, to be the midwives of that birth, it was our turn (...) it was born as a crazy dream of the Fatherland,” said Commander Chávez about the events of 4F, for which he never hesitated to take responsibility and with that “for now” he marked a historic milestone.

For this reason, 33 years after February 4, Venezuela continues to lift its anti-imperialist spirit and the legacy of Chávez.
