Father José Antonio Da Conceiçao is ordained bishop prior to taking office in Puerto Cabello

In the Cathedral of Los Teques, in the state of Miranda, Father José Antonio Da Conceiçao Ferreira was ordained bishop this Saturday, as a step prior to his inauguration in Puerto Cabello, on August 3.

The deputy to the National Assembly, Nicolás Maduro Guerra, accompanied the ceremony that he highlighted through his X account as a recognition of “a life of dedication, at the service of others, (which) reaffirms the importance of faith and unity in the deepest Christian values”.

Monsignor Saúl Figueroa Albornoz, Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Valencia, specified that in the case of the inauguration ceremony as the new bishop of Puerto Cabello, it will be at 10 in the morning in the local Cathedral.

The prelate described Monsignor José Antonio Da Conceiçao as a very prepared man, currently general secretary of the Venezuelan Episcopal Conference.
