In Latin America we continue to have a presence of fascist actions and, to demonstrate this this time , we will refer to some regional cases.

In 2016, during the Mauricio Macri administration in Argentina, we witnessed the arrest of Milagro Sala. The harassment she suffered was accompanied by situations of public and private humiliation, such as having received judicial notifications while hospitalized, she experienced a degree of persecution, intimidation and harassment in order to limit her influence within the region. Added to this was the political violence that, for reasons of gender and race, is being exercised against her.

In Colombia, some historians agree that the genocide carried out since the 80s against social leaders continued in this millennium to maintain the fascist policy of hired killings, paramilitarism, false positives, massacres, disappearances and mass graves, which have been the repertoire of a country ravaged by oligarchic imperialist violence.

Even State terrorism with an electoral façade in the New Granada country, typical of liberal, bourgeois and representative democracies, is managed as a form of institutionalized fascism. For example, Iván Duque's 2018 campaign began with xenophobic anti-Venezuelan billboards; the narrative of his government and the media that supported him was absolutely hostile to everything that represented Venezuela and advocated repression against popular struggles.

Fascism was also seen in the deaths of Berta Cáceres in Honduras (2016) and Marielle Franco in Brazil (2018).

Cases such as Javier Milei in Argentina, Gabriel Boric in Chile, Santiago Peña in Paraguay, Nayib Bukele in El Salvador and Luis Lacalle Pou in Uruguay are some examples of the worrying situation in which the region finds itself, where these leaders, openly fascist and supported by the United States, have an important political force.

And in order to strengthen fascist alliances, a kind of “Fascist International” has been building a kind of “Fascist International” since 2021 , when in an act they agreed between VOX of Spain and the Action Party National (PAN) of Mexico, the Mexican party's adherence to the Madrid Charter, which states that “a part of the Iberosphere (a strange way of calling the whole Ibero-America and Spain) is hijacked by totalitarian regimes inspired by communist-inspired totalitarian regimes, supported by drug trafficking and third countries.” The letter adds that “all these regimes are under the umbrella of the Cuban regime and that they use initiatives such as the São Paulo Forum or the Puebla Group to impose their ideological agenda .”

The document also details that “this threat is not unique to countries that suffer from totalitarian yoke, but rather that the ideological and criminal project aims to enter other countries and continents with the purpose of destabilizing liberal democracies and the rule of law.”

Likewise, those who sign this kind of declaration, on the part of Venezuela, are the following characters: Alfredo Mago, National Labor Commissioner of Vente Venezuela; Aquiles Martini Pietri, member of Soy Venezuela; Biagio Pilieri, head of the parliamentary faction 16 de Julio; Carlos Salazar, coordinator of the Venezuelan Trade Union Coalition; Carlos Ortega, president of the Confederation of Workers of Venezuela; Diego Arria, former president of the UN Security Council; Enrique Aristeguieta Gramcko, political leader and member of the Patriotic Junta of 1958; Helen Fernández, former metropolitan mayor of Caracas; Humberto Calderón Berti, former Minister of Energy; Jesús Petit Da Costa , former magistrate and former Attorney General of the Republic; María Corina Machado, coordinator of Vente Venezuela; Melquiades Pulido, businessman; Milos Alcalay, former ambassador; Nitu Pérez Osuna, journalist; Noel Álvarez, member of Soy Venezuela; Pedro Urruchurtu, vice-president of the Liberal Network of Latin America and Vladimir Petit Medina, businessman; in addition to deputies from the extinct National Assembly of 2015 such as: Dignora Hernández, Carlos Bastardo, José Luis Pirela , Juan Carlos Bolivar, Juan Pablo Garcia, Luis Barragán, Edwin Luzardo, Nafir Morales, Omar González Moreno and Richard Blanco. Paradoxically, each of these characters has a record associated with corruption, extortion and treason.

It should be noted that the followers of the Tradition, Family and Property sect in the 90s are also listed as signatories of the document, so we have Leopoldo López, Henrique Capriles , Juan Guaidó, Julio Borges, Luisa Ortega, Dinorah Figuera and María Corina Machado, among others; these are some of those who make up what we now call the Fascist International .

The last meeting of these “patriotic leaders”, as described on the VOX web portal , was in May 2024 and was attended by the President of Argentina, Javier Milei; the Minister of Diaspora Affairs of Israel and the fight against Antisemitism, Amichai Chikli ; the former Polish prime minister and deputy, Mateusz Morawiecki; the deputy of the National Assembly of France and candidate for the presidency of the Republic, Marine Le Pen; the deputy, André Ventura and the Chilean deputy and leader of the Republican Party, José Antonio Kast, as well as others better known in our country, such as Elon Musk and Donald Trump.”

Apparently, it is already a regional urgency to stop the imminent advance of fascism in Latin America; which is increasingly gaining strength and the only option in the face of this is to defeat it.
