FANB units in Carabobo carried out a defense exercise at Arturo Michelena International Airport

In a perfect civic-military-police fusion, the units that make up ZODI Carabobo carried out, at the “Arturo Michelena” International Airport in Valencia, a special exercise and defensive simulation, as part of Operation Bolivarian Shield of the National Defense Plan, on the occasion of the celebration of the 19th anniversary of the Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb).

The defensive exercise and simulation, according to a note from Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), contemplated the deployment of special units in the simulated scenario of the hijacking of an aircraft on the runway and in the Control Tower, for the approach and assurance of the situation by our strategic military forces responsible for defending the facilities and spaces of the Homeland against any aggression.

“Every initiative, program or protocol that is used for the defense of the Homeland is always a daily triumph and that's how we must interpret it. This movement is undoubtedly an exercise that represents the triumph of Venezuelans in this new defense doctrine that we have, ours, that we don't copy them from anyone,” said the governor of Carabobo, Rafael Lacava.

The regional president reiterated that the military forces of the Homeland must give continuity and permanent attention to the Defense of the Nation, to secure strategic points and sites such as the “Arturo Michelena” International Airport.
