FANB stopped illegal mine construction in Amazonas

During patrolling and scrutiny, as part of Operation Fog 2024, members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces detected a natural area that was beginning to be plundered by illegal miners and arrested this action.
Work against the environment was detected in the “mine car” sector in the state of Amazonas, where two motorcycle pumps were found and destroyed; 100 meters of hoses; a four-cylinder diesel engine; 100 meters of high-pressure hoses; 600 liters of fuel.
“In the state of Amazonas, according to our territorial legal system, mining and hydrocarbon exploitation is totally prohibited, and the conservation of the environment is a citizen's duty. No national or foreign human group will be above the interests of the Venezuelan State,” emphasized the senior military official through his X account.
