FANB on Edmundo González's call: It's a ridiculous, impoverished, pyrrhic, meaningless message

The defense minister, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, repudiated on behalf of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) a recent message from the fugitive from Venezuelan justice, Edmundo González Urrutia, calling on the military institution to fratricide.

“They don't know what they're trying to do, it has no dimension and that's why they invoke it so lightly. This man who is a fugitive from justice has dared to send a ridiculous, impoverished, pyrrhic, meaningless message, who does not have the cohesion that a message should have when he addresses an institution like ours,” said the senior military officer.

In the same way, he repudiated the fact that this figure linked to the extreme right is turning to the FANB after he despised the country's institutionality by ignoring the results of the elections of last July 28.

“The FANB is a pristine institution, which is due to the Republic, to the Fatherland, which does not obey the designs of others, nor commands from imperial powers. It is an independent FanB that always comes out in defense of our people and has worked hard to defend the peace of the Republic,” he emphasized

He also stressed that the former presidential candidate remains in the United States “a prisoner of his masters”, so the FANB views this situation very carefully because it always has as its background the intentions of ending the peace of the Republic.

In the same way, Padrino read a statement on behalf of the FANB in which he makes it clear that the military institution recognizes and will recognize President Nicolás Maduro, who will be sworn in on January 10.

We have seen with deep indignation a video published last night, Sunday, January 5, by the coward Edmundo González Urrutia, shamelessly and insolently addressing the Bolivarian National Armed Forces; with absurd and incoherent approaches that demonstrate, not only ignorance about the institution, but also an exacerbated desperation in the face of the imminent and resounding failure of their coup plans.

The ridiculous video is broadcast precisely when they arrive in the United States of America, whose government is the sponsor and maneuver of the Venezuelan extreme right, which serves as a subterfuge to hide their cowardice and weakness, since they have no popular support and even less the respect of the military institution, which they have repeatedly offended and belittled.

With the cynicism that characterizes him, with inappropriate words and with a circus aspect, he refers to the peace, stability and well-being of Venezuelans, when they have systematically requested the application of economic sanctions and all kinds of Unilateral Coercive Measures, which have caused so much harm to the Venezuelan people, including military personnel and their families, who have also been the first and most numerous victims of the violence they have been waging for years, as part of their neofascist actions to destabilize the government legitimate of the country and undermine the peace of mind of its own citizens.

We categorically and with absolute vehemence reject this clown and stupid act of despicable politicking, which will not have the slightest impact on the robust patriotic conscience of the FANB; which, in perfect popular military and police fusion, will defend the Constitution and the laws of the nation to the utmost, as well as its freedom, sovereignty and independence.

Let the whole world know! On January 10, 2025, we will ratify the irreducible commitment to Venezuelan democracy; and we will recognize citizen Nicolás Maduro Moros, as Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, re-elected for the period 2025-2031; to whom, as our Commander in Chief, we will solemnly swear loyalty, obedience and subordination.
