FANB on alert to “false flag” operation against Exxon Mobil to start war escalation

In a statement, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) announced that it is remaining alert to the “false flag” operation against an Exxon Mobil platform, denounced by the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.

The document states that this new imperial onslaught seeks to “generate confusion and initiate an escalation of aggression against Venezuela the country”, and expresses the support of the FANB for “the firm policy of the Bolivarian Government to assert and respect the popular mandate expressed in the Consultative Referendum of December 3, 2023, with which Venezuela's historic rights to the Esequibo territory were ratified”.

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces, strictly attached to the constitutionally assigned mission of safeguarding the integrity of the national territory, its sovereignty and independence; remains alert to the complaint made by the citizen Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, about the new plot of North American imperialism, which seeks to carry out a “false flag” operation to attack the Exxon Mobil platform that operates in pending waters to be delimited with the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, in order to generate confusion and initiate an escalation of aggression against our country.

It is necessary to remind the entire world that this traditional modus operandi of false positives that imperial interference usually carries out, of fomenting conflict situations with premeditation and malice and then invading sovereign nations and peoples with all their military and economic power, is already part of a worn-out script that has lost credibility in the international community. However, it must be emphasized that the Government of Guyana continues to flagrantly violate the Geneva Agreement, by having unilaterally a space where it cannot exercise jurisdiction, keeping foreign drillers and tankers carrying out exploitation and commercialization activities in the controversial area.

The men and women of the armed institution unrestrictedly support the Bolivarian Government's firm policy of asserting and respecting the popular mandate expressed in the Consultative Referendum of December 3, 2023, which ratified Venezuela's historic rights to the Esequibo territory. Hence, the strong will and determination to respond with decisive actions and in perfect popular military-police fusion, to any threat that threatens the integrity and peace of our beloved nation. With the strength and dignity of this heroic people, they could not and will not be able to!
