FANB locates and dismantles an illegal mining camp, in the Atabapo municipality in Amazonas

Officials from the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) located and dismantled an illegal mining camp in the Carida sector of the Atabapo municipality of the state of Amazonas.

This was announced by the Strategic Operational Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Domingo Hernández Lárez, through a post on his account on the social network X.

Hernández Lárez, detailed that the camp consisted of houses and makeshift warehouses made of wood and plastic, “it was used as a support for mining activities, and to prey on the environment, violating land use and the Criminal Law on the Environment.”

The Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB assured that protecting the environment is a duty and a constitutional right.
