The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) detected and destroyed, during patrols and searches in the Jesús María Semprum municipality of the state of Zulia, three illegal camps used by Colombian criminal groups.

The strategic operational commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, explained that one of these spaces was used for the training of irregular groups. It had a capacity for 80 men.

The other two structures, as detailed by the senior military officer in a press release, were for logistical support.

The commander of the CEOFANB indicated that in the same way, 655 wrappers of alleged cocaine, 1,400 liters of acetone, the disabling of a truck and the destruction of several military garments referring to the FARC were seized.

He also highlighted that these actions are part of the instructions issued by the C/J of the FANB Nicolás Maduro Moros, through Operation Bolivarian Shield “Lightning of Catatumbo 2025.
