Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) dismantled, in the Yagua sector of the Atabapo municipality in the state of Amazonas, a camp used for illegal mining.

This was reported by the Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, through his X account, where he explained that destroyed materials used for the predation of the environment were detected in these spaces.

“In the state of Amazonas, mining or hydrocarbon exploitation has been banned since 1976. It is a duty and a constitutional right to protect the environment,” said the senior military officer.
