FANB dismantled mining camp in Atabapo municipality of Amazonas

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) disbanded an illegal mining camp installed in the “December mine” sector of the Atabapo municipality of the state of Amazonas, reported the strategic operational commander of the FANB, Domingo Hernández Lárez.
The senior military officer explained that the aforesaid compound consisted of 8 improvised buildings which were used as bedrooms and a warehouse for logistics materials.
“We must all spread the importance of protecting the environment, not because it is ordered, but because it benefits man and his future generations on the planet. No human group will be above environmental and State rights,” said Hernández Lárez.
