Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) detected and destroyed, in the state of Amazonas, 30 meters of 8-inch hose, a drum with a storage capacity of 200 liters; three impellers for diesel engines and 20 meters of black plastic, which are inputs used for illegal mining.

This was reported by the Strategic Operational Commander (CEO) of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, through his social networks, where he explained that these elements were detected by uniformed personnel while carrying out patrol work along the Cunucunuma River in the vicinity of the Indigenous Community of Tavicure, Alto Orinoco municipality.

“In the state of Amazonas, according to our current legal system, all types of mining and hydrocarbon exploitation are prohibited because the territory is under a special protection and conservation administration regime. No human group can be above the interests of the state, it is a duty and a right to conserve the natural environment,” said the senior military officer.
