FANB destroyed implements used for illegal mining in Amazonas

The Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB), as part of Operation Neblina 2024, detected and destroyed implements used by illegal miners for the depredation of the environment, reported the Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez.

Through a message published in his X account, the senior military officer explained that the above-mentioned implements were found by uniformed personnel while carrying out search work in the sector called Mina Limón in the state of Amazonas.

Among the destroyed implements are nine motorcycle pumps; 300 meters of PVC pipe; 100 meters of high-pressure hose; a power plant; two 120-liter plastic containers for fuel storage; various spare parts used for power plants and motorcycle pumps; a freezer; three rolls of high-pressure hose; a digital television system (Directv); various spare parts for motorcycle pumps; two motorcycles.

“In the state of Amazonas, according to our territorial legal system, mining and hydrocarbon exploitation is totally prohibited, and the conservation of the environment is a citizen's duty. No national or foreign human group will be above the interests of the Venezuelan State,” he emphasized.
