FANB destroyed illegal mining camp in Guri

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) destroyed, on the banks of the Guri reservoir, in Bolívar state, an illegal mining camp, according to the Operational Strategic Commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez.
In a press release released by the CEOFANB, the senior military officer explained that two tame-type screening structures, six mills, 1,200 meters of high-pressure hose and ten motor pumps were found and disabled in the space mentioned above. In addition, 30 drums containing 6,000 liters of gasoline were seized.
Hernández Lárez also explained that the operation was carried out following the “Roraima 2025" operations order and accompanied by a prosecutor from the Public Ministry (MP) in environmental matters.
“It is important to note that these operations are carried out in accordance with Article 127 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and under the precepts of the 5th. Historical Objective of the Homeland Plan, which seeks the preservation of life on the planet and the salvation of the human species, by combating illegal mining, promoting and guaranteeing environmental protection, and article 19 of the Organic Law of the Environment, as well as complying with preventive judicial measures, in accordance with article 8, orders 2, 5, 8 and 12 of the Criminal Law on the Environment, in accordance with article 26 of the same law, issued by the Third State and Municipal Court of First Instance acting to control the state of Bolivar, where the illegal practice of mining and all its related activities are prohibited within the La Paragua Forest Reserve, Caura National Park, the La Paragua River and its tributaries, as well as the La Paragua Hydrographic Basin,” he highlighted.
