FANB confronted and apprehended a member of GEDO 3R

Officials of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) apprehended, in the El Paraíso sector, Sifontes municipality of Bolívar state, a citizen linked to the Structured Organized Crime Group (GEDO), the 3R's.

According to reports from the strategic operational commander of the FANB, the arrest of this citizen, identified as Ismael Carvajal, was achieved after he made weapons against our uniformed personnel.

A serial AR15 rifle was seized from Carvajal, with a die referring to the 3R; A Beretta PX4 pistol; Six portable radios with their chargers; Four FAL magazines and two R15 magazines; 24 ammunition of FAL (7.62) and 60 of R15 (5.56); A Starlink satellite antenna; Five notebooks recording notes of the activities they carry out (drug control and gold); Clothing referring to the 3R organization.

“FANB and #OSC are actively fighting to provide security to citizens against criminal groups that generate violence,” said Hernández Lárez.
