The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) began a deployment in the Duida-Marahuaca National Park in the state of Amazonas, in order to eradicate illegal mining in these protected areas.

This was reported by the Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, through his X account, where he explained that this deployment is part of Operation Mist 2024 carried out by the military institution, also fighting cross-border criminal groups that seek to promote environmental depredation in our ancestral lands.
