FANB began deploying the Republic Plan for this weekend's Popular Consultation

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) began deploying the Republic Plan in the national territory to guarantee peace and order in the midst of the Second National Consultation 2026, scheduled for October 18.

The operation involves the participation of 130,000 military personnel and citizen security bodies across the country.

The commander of the Strategic Operational Command, Rubén Darío Belzares, confirmed, in statements replicated by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), that the deployment will have participatory democracy as a priority and stressed to the uniformed: “Women and men in uniform, you are the shield of democracy; your presence in the streets ensures that the voice of the country is expressed with absolute freedom.”

For this electoral process, 11,000 voting centers were set up at the national level, where 12,700 polling stations will operate to receive citizens called to the democratic day.

The mission of the military and security deployment is to ensure the normal development of the popular consultation and the protection of the electoral facilities arranged by the competent authorities.
