Extremist groups attacked the Venezuelan Consulate in Vigo, a Spanish municipality, which also serves the populations of Galicia and Asturias in consular procedures with the South American nation.
“They vandalized our consulate, painted, beat and broke the glass. They are the bitter fascists, frustrated by the swearing in of President Maduro,” the staff said in a contact with the Fuser News news portal.
Previously, the Government of Portugal condemned a similar action against the Venezuelan Consulate in Lisbon, after the events, the Portuguese Foreign Ministry noted that “the inviolability of diplomatic missions must be respected in all cases”.
The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, indicated that the “irrational aggressions of deranged groups cannot reverse the advances of the Bolivarian Revolution.”
This statement came after the inauguration of President Maduro for the period of Government 2025-2031 and the frontal Venezuelan struggle against fascism, Zionism, Nazism and any other form of violence against the peoples of Latin America and the world.
