Explosion leaves eight dead at electoral office in southwestern Pakistan

At least eight people died and several were injured in an explosion recorded this Wednesday in the Pakistani province of Baluchistan, in the southwest of the country, police and government sources reported.

The explosion took place near an electoral office of a political leader in the Pishin district, in the said province, Deputy Commissioner Juma Dad Khan Mandukhel told local media.

After the explosion, rescue teams, police and security forces arrived at the scene and took the injured to a nearby hospital.

The nature of the explosion is still unknown and so far no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
