The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, reiterated this Thursday the resilience of all Venezuelans and the efforts of the workers, who have brought the country forward in these years of blockade.

“It is a national consensus, a point where we all conclude from our differences, that the blockade against Venezuela must cease, for the right to life, to health, to food, to housing,” he stressed during a day, together with the working class, to sign books to demand the lifting of the sanctions imposed by the United States (USA), held in Caracas.

He assured that “the gringos' candidate is going to be defeated this July 28 (...) We will never support the United States coming to govern Venezuela, as they tried in May 2020, with the mercenary incursion. Neither they nor their candidate.”

Rodríguez recalled that last month, opposition extremism again requested sanctions against the country and the licenses granted in October by the White House were lifted, but he insisted that this is not a “gift” but rather a right of Venezuela to self-determination, which is also contemplated in the Charter of the United Nations.
