The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, led this Wednesday a working day of the National Council for Productive Economy, Regional Chapter, with the participation of businessmen from the states of Miranda, La Guaira and the Capital District, to take stock of the policies undertaken by this body.

During the meeting, the Venezuelan Vice President thanked the businessmen who, through permanent and direct dialogue, are advancing a single national policy, to overcome economic aggression against the Venezuelan people.

In his speech, Rodríguez urged that “the economy should be one of the spaces, as the president (Nicolás Maduro) has called, of the five national consensuses, economic well-being, economic development, economic growth.”

He recalled that the economy has been used “to attack the Venezuelan people, through criminal blockades, sanctions, requests by extremist sectors of Venezuelan anti-politics and we have always, from day one, been in interaction, we have asked to leave the contest out of the economy.”

He pointed out that “economic aggression has an absolutely political and geopolitical background, but the reality is that the country, all of us, are experiencing the effects of this criminal blockade.”
