The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy
Rodríguez, reiterated this Friday that Venezuela is one of the 119 countries that
do not recognize the compulsory jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice
(ICJ), including the United States (USA) and the Cooperative Republic
of Guyana.
Through his account on the social network X, Rodríguez
once again confirmed that the only mechanism for resolving the territorial dispute over the Essequibo is
the Geneva Agreement of 1966, which he described as a “privileged instrument”.
“For the first time in its life, an attempt is made to force a country to
recognize the ICJ by force through colliding countries led
by the historic perpetrators of the fraudulent award: the United States and the United Kingdom and their Guyanese puppet.
Venezuela will maintain its historic position and will win!” , emphasized
the Executive Vice President.
