Edwards Varela won his ticket to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games

The Venezuelan also won the silver medal at the World Para-Athletics Championship in Kobe, which is being held in Japan

Venezuelan athlete Edwards Varela qualified for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, in the F37 Disc Throwing discipline.

The information was released by the National Sports Institute through its social networks, who explained that Varela ranked second in the final of the F37 Disc Launch with a mark of 52.17 in the qualifier of the discipline held in Kobe, Japan.

These will be the second Paralympic Games for the Venezuelan after participating in Tokyo 2020.

For his part, the Minister of Popular Power for Youth and Sports, Mervin Maldonad o, congratulated Varela and stressed that he became the eighth Venezuelan to represent the country in the Paralympic event.
