The leader of the opposition and former Ecuadorian presidential candidate, Luisa González, released an open letter addressed to the nation through the social network X, in which she denounced the legal actions taken against her by the Public Ministry in the framework of the so-called “Laberinto Case”.
In the letter, the leader of the Citizens' Revolution movement confirmed her commitment not to leave the country and held the State Attorney General's Office responsible for promoting systematic persecution against her by opening multiple criminal cases.
González emphasized that he currently faces a total of 19 judicial processes initiated by the fiscal body, including a search carried out on his properties at the beginning of the year, which he described as a deliberate attempt to intimidate his political work.
The leadership of the opposition organization reiterated that it will continue in the national territory to assume its legal defense before the courts and promote political debate in the face of the management of the Ecuadorian government.
