A new episode of confrontation and public disagreements highlights the state of composition in which the factors of the Venezuelan opposition find themselves, whose spokespersons and influencers continue to exchange disqualifications in the midst of a severe crisis of representation. The lack of a common project has left the conservative leadership wandering around without a political direction in front of the country.
Referring to the tactical loss and struggles of the sector, the opposition communicator Daniel Lara Farías pointed out that the political leadership of the right is “like souls in pain”. Along the same lines of disagreement, the leader Stalin González publicly acknowledged the absence of consensus by admitting that “there is no political trust”, a judgment supported by other antagonistic sectors that accuse the leadership of maintaining behavior dominated by arrogance.
The arrogance of the opposition elites also revived the historic debate over the departure of the Radio Caracas Television (RCTV) concession. On this subject, journalist Manuel Sáinz revealed that the channel's management refused at the time to request renewal due to elite positions and media imposition, processing the permit extemporaneously before Conatel only after the warnings of Commander Hugo Chávez, which led to the corresponding legal refusal.
This context of business and political arrogance was involuntarily questioned by Sayo herself, who stated verbatim that “what ends and who produces an abyss between people and leaders are the elites”. Meanwhile, in the midst of the cross-accusations, Dinora Figuera tried to clarify the internal breakdown by referring to existing political discussions, stating that “those who want to participate in the dialogue table are called to participate, the invitation is for everyone”.
