The discussion East and its tradition was presented in space 2 of the National Art Gallery (GAN) with the participation of the teachers, Adrián Óscar Lista and Milagros Figuera. The activity is part of the first Viva Venezuela World Festival.

Figuera mentioned the variants of oriental music, and pointed to Joropo as one of the most representative and popular genres in the region, “each of these genres has a poetic form that characterizes it. It's also closely linked to the way we accentuate it.”

In addition, the musical specialist assured that the intention of these seminars is that the “public has an identity with their traditions, since what is not known cannot be loved”.

Later, Oscar Lista took a tour of Latin American history and cultural exchange with other continents, to also identify the instruments used by the melodic expressions of the Venezuelan East.

In addition, the cultivators delighted the public with a touch and practical demonstration of the subject on display, in which they used maracas, mandolin and Venezuelan four, and performed emblematic pieces of the region.
