As part of the commemoration of the Day of the Timon Coup, the Ministry of Popular Power for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture, through the Federal Government Council (CFG), began the process of progressively disbursing funding to communal circuits for the execution of the projects elected in the Second National Consultation 2026.

During an interview, the Minister of Popular Power for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture, Ángel Prado, explained that the budget allocation schedule formally began this Monday, to guarantee the direct transfer of funds to the popular base.

In this regard, the holder of the communal portfolio highlighted the massive participation in the voting day, highlighting as a momentous milestone the active incorporation of the Guayana Esequiba state through two Community Circuits, as well as the condominium councils involved in urban areas.

Regarding the financial viability of the works, Prado explained that the national fund is nourished by tax collection and is complemented by the inter-institutional coordination of ministries, governorates and mayors. As an example of co-investment, he pointed to the model applied in Caracas with the support of Mayor Carmen Meléndez, who assumes the financing of the second most voted project in the capital, and the experience in Falcón state, where the budgetary performance of the communes added synergies with regional and local governments.

Consolidation of Popular Power

Prado reaffirmed the commitment of territorial public management to the consolidation of the Communal State and participatory socialism promoted by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez. He also announced that, according to the guidelines of the National Executive, the next edition of the Popular Consultation will be aimed exclusively at the initiatives of Venezuelan youth.

The immediate allocation of these resources reaffirms the inalienable commitment of the national Government to the strengthening of participatory and proactive democracy in each territory. Through the direct transfer of funds to the grassroots, communes reaffirm their stellar role in the integral transformation of their spaces, which shows that popular organization and administrative efficiency constitute the definitive tools for responding to the needs of the people.
