The commissioner general of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC), Douglas Rico, denied rumors of kidnapping and trafficking of children in the territory through a post made on his Instagram account.
In this regard, he explained that information about alleged kidnappings and organ trafficking has been disseminated through social networks and WhatsApp, so he assured that “such events have not occurred and we have not received any complaints in this regard”.
Rico urged the population “not to echo false information that jeopardizes the peace of mind of the population, specifically parents and representatives, creating anxiety and risking the mental health of citizens.”
