Diosdado Cabello: We must become preachers of Hugo Chávez

As we
commemorate this Sunday the 32nd anniversary of the Anti-Imperialist Rebellion of
February 4, 1992, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of
Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, emphasized the importance of telling the
story and preaching the word of Commander Hugo Chávez.
“By saying
what happened, our people are internalizing... We have to become preachers
of Hugo Chávez, because sometimes a vacuum is created about what Chávez would think
in a given case, every time I have a roll I wonder what
Commander Chávez would do and I get the answer in almost 100%,” he said.
During his
participation in the first episode of the podcast Chavistamente, Cabello recalled
that the Supreme Leader of the Bolivarian Revolution didn't
like to commemorate 4F, but “he began to turn the tables” on that momentous
event for the revolutionary forces, which marked a before and after in Venezuelan politics.
He also recalled
his beginnings at the Military Academy and how he met Commander Chávez and followed him
in his struggles to vindicate the people forgotten by the governments of the Fourth
Republic, which led them to organize the military rebellion.
“I love the
Military Academy, there is always a task to do there and Chávez helped us in
that task,” emphasized the deputy to the National Assembly.
