During the massive mobilization that toured the main avenues of Caracas, in support of the country's health and peace, regarding the Pink Month dedicated to the fight against breast cancer, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted the demands for Venezuelan women in Revolution.
She pointed out that, in the 1940s, women did not have the right to vote, their work in the home was not recognized and they denigrated them as housewives. “A job, running the reins of a household, because women are the ones who are aware of everything in a house,” he said.
Cabello said that women “stop earlier than everyone else, make food for the carajitos, prepare them to take them to school, take them to school, get ready to go to work, go to work and come at noon to do the same with food, pick up the boys, take the boys, take the boys, keep an eye on work in the afternoon and at night to the meeting of the CLAP, the gas, the community council, leading every stage of this beautiful revolution”.
In this regard, he emphasized that “rather we must recognize our grandmothers who took hold of this isolation from Venezuelan society, to our mothers. Not today, today Venezuelan women are at the forefront of all these struggles. Today, Venezuelan women are the engine everywhere,” he stressed.
