Diosdado Cabello: The more pressure, the more power for the people

The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, emphasized that with the Second National Popular Consultation, power is being given to the People, as Commander Hugo Chávez said.
“We are complying with our Constitution in a firm letter, so that the People assume the role they must assume; the more pressure there is, the more power for the People; that is the recipe,” he said.
In this regard, during the Mobilization a Month after the Victory of President Nicolás Maduro, he stressed that in Venezuela we have a leading and participatory democracy contemplated in our Constitution and that the People must assume it.
He said that when the Constitution of 1999 was approved, the bourgeois right came out to say that it was a communist, but “the truth has never mattered to them because they have never read the Constitution”.
