Diosdado Cabello: The Fourth Republic barely literate 30,000 Venezuelans in 40 years

Diosdado Cabello said that in 40 years the Fourth Republic literate around 30,000 Venezuelans, while in Revolution Commander Hugo Chávez eradicated illiteracy in the country.

“They called it a great achievement and they barely made 30,000 Venezuelans literate. In addition, those who could not read or write had to buy a briefcase with learning material. How were they going to buy it if they couldn't work because they couldn't read?” , he said.

The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) who, after the arrival of Commander Hugo Chávez, more than two million women and men learned to read and write.

“The Revolution brought literacy to 100% of the population. The fact that everyone in the country knows how to read and write is Chávez's fault,” he said.
