The first vice-president of the
United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, described
the electoral process of this Sunday, 28, as historic and assured that the eyes of the world are on the nation.
After exercising his right to vote, the leader of the
red awning said that “this is a historic event for Venezuela and for the
world, the eyes of the world are on Venezuela and what happens here will mark
for many the pace of what will happen in Latin America, so
we are obliged to preserve democracy.”
In that sense, he invited Venezuelans to go out and exercise
their right to vote, “that no one stays at home, that people
express themselves in the voting centers in order,” he said, while criticizing those
sectors of the right that “tried to generate riots” and that received
a high from the population, “that speaks of political maturity, of electoral maturity”.
