In his Con El Mazo Dando program, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, dismissed the statement of the Venezuelan Episcopal Conference (CEV), that the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, was using Christmas for political purposes, by deciding to bring this holiday forward to October 1st.

“The Episcopal Conference is a band of terrorists. Who can be upset that the People are happy? What is the political purpose of the President saying that he will bring Christmas forward? “, he questioned while stressing that this leadership has demonstrated an attitude “so crazy, my dear God, is that bitterness is fine”.

In broadcast number 493, he stressed that the CEV does not support the head of state bringing Christmas forward, but they did support “when Carlos Ortega said: There is no Christmas”, in 2002.
