Diosdado Cabello Rondón pointed out that the opposition economist Ricardo Hausmann is a vulture when it comes to the economic sphere, commenting on an absurd statement made by this advisor to former president Carlos Andrés Pérez, regarding the Venezuelan economy.

“It's the same character who, in the midst of the country's crisis, said that he already had 72 billion dollars ready, talking to the pimp of Lorenzo Mendoza, to bring it to him,” recalled the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

“Of those 72 billion, he (Hausmann) has a commission left, because that's his business. He's a vulture,” he emphasized.

Cabello specified that Hausmann was part of that economic team, “when the package” of Carlos Andrés Pérez in 1989, together with the neoliberal economist Miguel “Paquetico” Rodríguez and Moisés Naím”.

“The worst economic collapse, Hausmann, occurred when you were working with Carlos Andrés, which led to the massacre of more than 3,600 people in Caracas alone,” he stressed.

He pointed out that “that is an economic collapse. We are survivors of the attacks of imperialism.”
