The United Socialist Party of Venezuela repudiates imperialism's attempts to appropriate Citgo, using as an argument the actions of the imaginary government of Venezuelan fugitive Juan Guaidó.
This was pointed out by the first vice-president of this political umbrella, Diosdado Cabello, who recalled that Citgo was the payment offered by the Venezuelan right to the United States for supporting its attempts, for putting an end to the Bolivarian Revolution.
“We reject this attempt at dispossession by imperialism, but that, in the end, is the payment to which they (the opposition) committed themselves. Since that unusual and extraordinary threat, they committed themselves to the United States. They did not and will not achieve their objectives, but the creditor is still charging them and is doing it with Citgo,” he said during the usual weekly press conference of the PSUV.
He also emphasized that the right-wing leaders involved in this dispossession of the nation “cannot be in charge of the country”, because they promised to surrender.
In this regard, she recalled how an “ambassador” of the Narnia government offered to hand over the Essequibo to the United Kingdom in exchange for support for Guaidó.
On the other hand, Cabello pointed out that the new movement that the far-right María Corina Machado will launch in the coming days is a recognition that only 600,000 people participated in the opposition primaries, while noting that these groups are “generators of violence”.
“There will be justice here, we are not going to care about last names, what they say from outside. There is a constitution here, which is not that of the gringos or that of the European Union,” he said.
