The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, praised the participation of women in the process of nominating candidates carried out at the national level, by the Base Assemblies of the revolutionary militancy, in which they obtained 54% of the nominations and men achieved 46%.

In this regard, in the broadcast of the 74th edition of the program “With Maduro+”, conducted by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, she specified that such participation should not be surprising, since the majority of community leaders are women.

He also highlighted the participation of youth, with 15.48% of people under the age of 35, “youth, leaders projected to assume the leadership of the Revolution”.

Cabello said that the process involved the participation of all five generations, including “those over 15 years old, went to apply.”

He also reiterated that these are more than 131,000 community leaders who were nominated for office as deputies and governors in the elections of next May 25, “authentic, of flesh and blood, who exist, have political work and have direct contact with the grassroots, for a reason they were nominated.”

He stressed that the revisions of all the postulates have already begun at the national level.
