Diosdado Cabello praised the work of the CNE after the Second National Popular Consultation

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, during the customary red awning press conference, thanked the National Electoral Council (CNE) for the “extraordinary” work of the Second Popular Consultation of 2026.
“Thank you to the CNE, because it always does it in an extraordinary way, it's the same CNE for everything, it's the same CNE that is used for all processes, for electoral processes of governors, mayors, presidential elections,” said Cabello.
He also said that “whoever has votes usually wins elections (...) The rest are stories, so recognition of the CNE is now almost routine in each of these electoral processes.”
