Diosdado Cabello, the first president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), reiterated that in the opposition sector they do not want to touch the CITGO case publicly because among its leaders there are those who will benefit economically from the delivery of this good of the nation to transnational companies.

“The truth is that the Venezuelan opposition does not want to talk about it and they are even opposed to a verdict in the short term, not because it doesn't interest them, but because of the political moment of the presidential campaign and the risk that voters will blame them,” he said.

Cabello presented a social media headline stating that Carlos Vecchio, Leopoldo López and José Ignacio Hernández will receive commissions of billions of dollars for the delivery of the subsidiary of Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) to transnationals in the United States.
