Diosdado Cabello on the result of the referendum: It is binding and mandatory

The deputy to the National Assembly, Diosdado Cabello, reiterated the binding nature of the results obtained during the consultative referendum of last December 3 for our country.

During the presentation of the Organic Bill for the Defense of Guiana Essequiba before the plenary of the National Assembly, Cabello stressed that the Government, following the results obtained in the popular consultation, is obliged to act accordingly.

“We are obliged to fulfill the mandate of the People, so that they can realize by the facts that it is not only binding, but it is also mandatory. The people of Venezuela have spoken here,” he said.

Cabello also congratulated the measures announced this Tuesday by President Nicolás Maduro for the defense of the Essequibo, in line with the popular will expressed in the consultative referendum.
