The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, emphasized that the only “pimp” of the Venezuelan people's money is the president of Empresas Polar, the extremist Lorenzo Mendoza.

“If in this country, there is a historical pimp of the people's money, it's called Lorenzo Mendoza, I mean it with a first and last name,” said Cabello, rejecting Mendoza's suggestion that the national government wanted to disappear from the private sector, among other absurdities.

He stressed that “if they give me 4 billion dollars a year, I don't set up a Polar Company, I set up 10 Polar Companies.”

“This inept guy gets 4 billion dollars a year. What did you do with Polar Companies? He took it from Venezuela. What did he do with the money (money) of Venezuelans set up companies abroad,” he said.

In this regard, during his Con El Mazo Dando program, broadcast number 588, he highlighted that Empresas Polar “it's not true that it's the largest food company in Venezuela, no, no, no. That's not true.”

He stated that the corn flour from the Polar Company, “is not the flour that sells the most. Here in the country there are at least 10 (different brands) that sell the most. Mazeite is not the most sold oil in Venezuela. I'm talking about food, he got competition.”

Cabello criticized Mendoza's attitude, since “he was a guy who stopped his factories during the strike (oil tanker) so that the people wouldn't eat. Let him say it's a lie. Did the State force him to stop his factories so that the people wouldn't eat?”

“He has made a mess with the workforce, he throws them away and he doesn't want to recognize them (their rights). Justice is there, then, (...) to recognize the workers of the Polar company who have been dismissed, mistreated and harassed, which must be recognized,” he said.
