The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, assured that the patriots who led the military rebellion of February 4, 1992 “never asked anyone for cocoa.”
He recalled that when they were arrested and told that the sentences to be served would be between 27 and 30 years, “we all saw each other face to face and think how much dominoes we were going to play”.
He stressed that they were never intimidated and quite the contrary, they were always proud of the work done.
“In the 4F we put on the skin. Some of them fell that same day, killed, executed (...) they were killed. Others died and we weren't yelling at anyone when they came to us and told us that the sentences were between 27 and 30 years. The men of 4F are courageous, but the real heroes are the women of each of these families. They were the ones who pushed us into all this,” he exalted.
