“From Guyana they threaten us, they say they are going to call their friends in the Southern Command, in the United Nations (UN) and in the Security Council and then they come out saying that Venezuela is threatening them. We have not declared war on anyone. Now, do you think that by now they're going to scare us with the Southern Command? Well, know this: now we're moving forward, gentlemen of Exxon Mobil.”

This was emphasized by the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, in the 458th broadcast of his program Con el Mazo Dando, where he pointed out the importance of unity in confronting these new threats against the country by North American imperialism .

“The call is for the permanent union that Father (Simon) Bolivar called us. United we are strong, divided they destroy us, they turn us to pieces, we make it easy for the adversary, you don't see how this December 3rd the United People made the phrase that united will never be defeated come true,” he said.

He recalled that Venezuela is acting under the guidelines of the Venezuelan Constitution and in defense of a territory that has historically belonged to it since the time when it was constituted as a Captaincy General under Spanish rule.

“We are not taking anything, absolutely nothing from Guyana, that territory belongs to Venezuela,” he stressed and denounced that the Guyanese Government goes to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) because they have friends there, because Exxon Mobil pays.”

“Venezuela is respected! We are not conditioned to any threat,” he maintained and ratified the position of ignorance of the ICJ's jurisdiction in the dispute over the Essequibo, pointing out that the only valid mechanism for this issue is the Geneva Agreement of 1966.

Opposition and the US violate agreements

The also deputy and president of the Domestic Policy Committee of the National Assembly (AN), regretted the position taken by the extremist opposition sector in the development of the controversy raised by Guyana over Guiana Essequiba.

“One of the things that was signed based on the document of August 13, 2021 in Mexico and endorsed on 17 2023 in Barbados: the defense of Venezuela's rights over Guiana Essequiba and the Geneva Agreement of 1966 was ratified as a method of resolution, that is, all of us who signed that document had to act when it came to having to defend the Essequibo is a commitment, but opposition sectors did not defend the Essequibo and some of them called for a 'no' vote, and they failed to do so by making statements to favor the position of the Guyanese government,” he revealed.

He also reiterated that the United States is still not complying with the agreed agreements and ironized the recent threats that the elite of the Government of the North American country made against the country, setting a deadline of November 30.

“What happened to that ultimatum thing?” , questioned while lambasting the opposition journalists based abroad who were “ partying” with the supposed deadline that the United States would have imposed to empower the extremist opposition María Corina Machado at the risk of backing down on measures to supposedly alleviate unilateral coercive measures against Venezuelan oil, gas and mining.

“They have a watery mouth, they lie and the liars get lost count,” he said and questioned that there is no rectification on the part of these journalists, whom he described as “longliners”.

“They don't say they were wrong, that they gave uncertain information, “they don't say it, they don't care, they have no shame,” he added.

More united than ever!

He refuted journalists who are betting on an alleged division of Chavism with the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro and his person as heads of the groups.

“They can say and invent whatever they want, scoundrels from Venezuela and the world, but President Nicolás Maduro and this character are more united than ever and together for whatever comes out” (...). Invent what you want, give yourself energy, invent what you want and even an ultimatum that will surely go very well for you,” he said.

In this regard, he did not hesitate to stress that in the face of new threats, this union is strengthening and foreshadowed the defeat of the promoters of this new attempt at imperialist aggression against the country through Guyana.

“Are they going to threaten us with the Southern Command? We have been receiving threats from the Southern Command for 25 years and most of their actions are covertly against Venezuela. Neither the Southern Command nor the opposition have been able or will be able to deal with the Bolivarian Revolution,” he said.
