U.S. authorities were not providing care to detained migrants as part of a strategy to dehumanize them, said Interior, Justice and Peace Minister Diosdado Cabello.

During the tenth edition of the podcast Sin Truco Ni Maña, Cabello revealed that several of the compatriots, who arrived in the country early this Friday morning, have broken legs as a result of attacks suffered by prison guards where they were being held.

“Everything is dehumanized to try to demoralize us. As can be seen, they don't know us, because when the people of Venezuela mistreat them respond with dignity, with strength, with rebellion, even with more fierceness,” he said.

In the same way, he pointed out that these Venezuelans, when they set foot on national soil, were taken to health centers to receive the necessary medical attention.
