Diosdado Cabello: In Venezuela there will never again be pacts with the elites

Diosdado Cabello Rondón, first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), emphasized that in the country there will never again be pacts with the elites, as was done in the Fourth Republic, the best known being the one called: The Fixed Point Pact.

He stated that “the scumbags wanted to revive in the Punto Fijo Pact, so Chatarrita (Henrique Capriles), every time he had a chance, he said: 'You can govern for six years, you give us six years and then we give it to you'”.

Faced with this approach, Cabello maintained that “you are going to govern this country again: Never again, you will govern this country, more never”. The audience expressed that “they will not return, they will not return, they will not return”.

During his Con El Mazo Dando program, broadcast number 502, Cabello mentioned several events related to the Punto Fijo Pact, such as the assassination of bachelor Rafael Lara, who was a member of the left-wing MIR movement, during the adeco government of Raúl Leoni.

He also commented that during the term of office of Copeyan Rafael Caldera, the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), with nearly three thousand police personnel, was raided.
