The deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, recalled this Tuesday that he was saved from COVID-19 thanks to the policies promoted by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.

During the Solemn Session of the Legislative Council of the state of Lara for the birth of the eponymous hero Jacinto Lara, Cabello recalled that the opposition increased its requests for sanctions against the Homeland “on the toughest days”, such as during the pandemic period.

“A series of opinions were woven and given about Venezuela, which was going to be the center of a health chaos, everything was calculated. A pandemic, a blocked and sanctioned country, that country could not bring the medicines to deal with the pandemic, to treat those who were somehow infected by COVID and there we have to lift the figure of our president Nicolás Maduro,” he emphasized.

In this regard, he highlighted the experience of the Head of State for six years as Chancellor of Commander Hugo Chávez. “He began to move around the world to bring medicines to Venezuela first. Forgive me for saying it, I am alive thanks to Nicolás and I am sure that more than one is alive thanks to Nicolás who brought the medicines, of course to Nicolás who made that great effort, to the prayers of the peoples, to our Virgin of the Shepherdess who never abandons us, true, to the desire to live,” he said.
