Diosdado Cabello highlights compliance with the schedule for the renewal of Supreme Court magistrates

At a press conference of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), the organization's general secretary, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted the “extraordinary” compliance with the schedule carried out by the Nominations Committee of the National Assembly for the renewal of the magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice.

“The Nominations Committee has a schedule that has been met in an extraordinary way. The Civil Society Nominations Committee has already been appointed, as established by the Constitution, and a group of Venezuelans are appointed to evaluate those who are proposed to be magistrates,” said Cabello Rondón.

In his statements, he emphasized the institutional role of the Legislative Branch as the only legitimate entity empowered to assign and swear in the high authorities of the Judiciary.

In that regard, he reaffirmed that the National Assembly led by Jorge Rodríguez, is the only one in this country, “there is no other”.

Cabello Rondón made an open call to all legal professionals interested in applying to join the Judiciary: “Whoever wants to be a magistrate should go and submit their proposal.”
