This Friday, March 14, the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, emphasized that Venezuela has been hard at work and will continue to hit drug trafficking in our territory; and proof of this is that this year more than 8 tons of drugs have already been seized.
“Venezuela is the dream for
Colombian drug trafficking, there is clear evidence that the former president of Narnia, Juan
Guaidó, offered (Iván) Duque the entire Venezuelan Guajira area (...).
We have
dealt hard blows to drug trafficking (...), they won't happen here,” he said at a press conference.
In this regard, he noted that last week more than 1,200 kilos of drugs were seized,
thanks to the work of security agencies. At the same time, he pointed out
that this drug, for the most part, comes from Colombia.
“They require a route that is
safer and shorter, Venezuela is their golden dream, but as long as the
Bolivarian Revolution is in place they know that they are not going to have that golden dream, it will
turn into a nightmare, because here they are not going to happen, here we are going to fight, confront and defeat
them,” he said.
In addition, he indicated that this new coup against criminal
gangs will hurt sectors of the extreme right, since they are
financed by drug trafficking. “This is going to be terrible for your pockets and
for your ego,” he said.
He also assured that narco-politics will
not be imposed in Venezuela, so any official or person who uses his position
of popular election, who has links with these gangs, must be held accountable to justice.
“Narcopolitics is not going to impose itself here,
this is not Colombia, forgive me my Colombian brothers, because that is a
reality that has affected us internally and externally for years because it is us who are being singled out,” he said, stressing that the great media always use the name of Venezuela for this purpose.
He reaffirmed that in Colombia the issue of the fight against drug trafficking has improved with the arrival of President Gustavo Petro, “because he has also given them strong blows in there and that is why they threaten him with death.”
